Background information about the Building's shape.
This project will allow western and eastern influences to take shape in a balanced harmonious way.
Like a playground where all cultures, religions, ethnic groups and nations can celebrate similarities, enjoy diversity and still find their own identity.
Its structure reminds of a living organism, as if it is breathing, with nature and organic lives growing around its gothic arches.
Most Churches, Cathedrals or sacred buildings are constructed and shaped in conformity with nature. Their appearance is based on the same harmonic laws.
It is a connection in between the yogis’ caves; the Indians’ sweat huts and the gothic cathedrals. The Gothic Cathedrals are like caves above the ground stretching towards the sky, or instruments that allow the religious believer to play, pray and get in touch with a transcendent spirituality and literally with a higher god.
The yogis’ caves had the function to shelter them from noise and seclude them from the world. So they could find spiritual fulfillment in an isolated way of being.
In this context of religious sanctuaries as well the sweat hut of the Indians has a comparable purpose. Hemispheric build from blankets, animal skins and furs as well as branches, was used to create something that we could call today, a “Church” in our cultural way of understanding.
All explanations are supposed to be short not to bore the reader. This means that unfortunately many descriptions of the design and the building appearance will remain unmentioned.
