At the beginning of the twentieth century, he founded a new spiritual movement, Anthroposophy, as an esoteric philosophy. Antroposophic architecture was part of this , and so he became the creator of new architectural forms and introduced what has come to be known as “Organic Architecture” . He designed 17 buildings, of wich 3 have been included amongst the most significant works of modern architecture. Comparable rather to living organisms then geometric shapes.
